Presenter: Tamala Baldwin (Writer/Executive Producer)

Tamala Baldwin is an executive producer and director, creating narrative, branded, and documentary work for the past eight years under her production company, Soul Kisses Productions. Tamala’s long list of production credits for episodic television includes HBO, Disney/ABC Television, and Hulu. Tamala directed her first feature-length Christmas movie called Blended Christmas, starring Jennifer Freeman, Victoria Rowell, and Anthony Dalton, which is scheduled for release on Paramount+ this holiday season. Tamala also has done a slate of branded work as a Lead Producer including but not limited to Chevy Equinox, Say Her Name/African American Policy Forum, and The Grio. Tamala’s other recent work includes working under the line producer on a hybrid-docu series called The Hair Tales for Own/Hulu/Onyx EPd by Tracee Ellis Ross and Oprah Winfrey, as well as a Spiritual Masterclass Collaborative project for Mindful as an Associate Producer.

Tamela has produced several short films and web series that have screened at notable film festivals like the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival and has won awards for her work at the Newark International Film Festival, the International Black Film Festival, the Austin Revolution Film Festival, and the Micheaux Film Festival among others. She is the writer and co-director of the hit digital series “Bubbly Brown Sugar,” which is currently streaming on Tubi. The series was picked up by Black Oak TV and is now streaming.

Romance, real-life drama, coupled with a hint of magical realism is where Tamala shines. She strives to transform the world, one story at a time – because everyone deserves their happily ever after. When she is not creating stories, she is usually on an island chasing sea turtles.
