Home Care Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) is a Medicaid program that provides services to those who need long-term care such as seniors, chronically ill, or disabled individuals. It allows the consumer to hire a Personal Assistant. QDM Enterprise Inc. is a Vendor providing services as part of New York’s Consumer-Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP). We offer quality services to consumers to facilitate the consumer’s role as the employer of Personal Assistants. Under Medicaid regulation, reimbursement for self-directed care must be arranged through a Provider. Our role as the Provider is to process the Personal Assistant ‘s wages — payroll, taxes, and withholding, as well as complying with worker’s compensation, disability, and unemployment insurance Requirements. As a Provider, we are also charged with maintaining records, ensuring program requirement compliance, and informing participating families of their responsibilities and program criteria. A Personal Assistant can assist with activities of daily living including • Personal hygiene • Bathing • Dressing • Light housekeeping • Laundry • Shopping • Scheduling appointments • Errands • Meal preparation • Medication management • Doctor visits • Other tasks that allow the patient to live their life comfortably in their own home Additionally, the Personal Assistant may also provide skilled nursing services, such as injections, wound care, etc.
