As the Co-Director of Professional Development at SCWBEC, Kathleen along with Gina Motisi, was responsible for securing our Panelists for today’s discussion. A small business owner herself, Kathleen is the owner of 360 Insurance Services, LLC. Her company develops employee benefit strategies for clients. Kathleen was instrumental in developing New York’s first Health Exchange and was named to the New York Regional Health Benefit Exchange Advisory Board in 2012 where she currently serves.
Meet our panel of four intrepid entrepreneurs who, in spite of varying obstacles, remained undeterred. With deliberate consistent action, they turned their dreams into goals and eventually realized entrepreneurial success.
Christine Ippolito
Christine Ippolito is the founding principal of Compass Workforce Solutions, LLC which provides HR resources and expertise to small businesses in the NY Metro area. With her expertise in talent acquisition and performance management among other skills, Christine is responsible for dramatic differences in profitability and performance within the businesses Compass supports. She is active in her community and is recognized for her many contributions to the financial sector. Christine was named as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Business by the Long Island Business News in 2015 and in 2016 garnered a Brava Award from Smart CEO as a Long Island top female executive.
Anu Lamba
Anu Lamba is the owner of Hilaire Rehab & Nursing, a skilled-care living facility she operates and manages with two partners. Anu’s journey began in Western India where she earned credentials in education and child psychology following in the able footsteps of the healthcare professionals in her family. After encountering various challenges all of which she embraced with great enthusiasm, Ms. Lambu is determined to make a meaningful impact on the quality of life for her patients and their loved ones.
Tobi Innerfield
Tobi Innerfield is the President of Quality Shredding Corp., a licensed Document Destruction Contractor certified as a women’s business enterprise (WBE). Tobi is one of fewer than 10 female document shredders in the entire United States. She grew her business from one truck in a rear bedroom to a fleet of seven and a plant in Deer Park. As a nationally recognized expert in her industry, Tobi has been quoted by TIME Magazine and was also featured on the cover and an inside spread of the Long Island Business News.
Sheila Skolnick
Sheila Skolnick’s life is the consummate “rags to riches” story. With NO money, NO experience, mentors or contacts, Sheila created a multi-million dollar international hotel supply company which she eventually sold to a six-billion dollar outfit. The experience she gained provided the foundation for her current venture, Sheila Skolnick Worldwide. An in-demand speaker and coach, Sheila now teaches business principles to coaching clients in the U.S. and abroad.
