Katherine Cortavarria, from a young age, has been a purpose-driven individual with a heart of service. In 2013, Katherine graduated as a Practical Nurse and in 2015 she initiated her journey in business by establishing Manantial Cleaning Services, Inc.

From her 20 years of being the Site Manager of a large cleaning contractor company, Katherine noticed that many cleaning crews were lacking in the amount of detail they put into their cleaning and service. Therefore, she created Manantial Cleaning Services intending to provide the highest quality commercial cleaning services in all of Long Island. After much effort and Katherine’s determination and perseverance, Manantial is now home to 20 employees and continues to evolve and grow each year, providing more services that range from commercial janitorial services to professional disinfection and from post-construction cleaning to floor stripping and waxing.

In 2018, Katherine and her staff became IICRC Certified Carpet Technicians and officially certified Manantial Cleaning Services to be a Certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise in NYS, NYC, The Port Authority of & NJ as well as in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Also, Manantial is a certified Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) with NYSUCP in the NYS Department of Transportation, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, and Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.

Over the past 7 years of Manantial’s existence, Katherine has been able to establish a track record of caring for her clients and staff as if they were her own family, developing trust within her community and among her clientele.

Maintaining that same spirit of supporting and representing her community she was the proud Director of Membership from 2019 to 2022 as well as a gold sponsor of Suffolk County Women-Owned Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC). In addition to that, Katherine is a proud member of the Suffolk County Hispanic Advisory Board and the Hauppauge Industrial Association of Long Island (HIA-LI), and a member of the Smithtown Chamber of Commerce. Katherine is dedicated to supporting local women-owned businesses as well as minority-owned businesses in their pursuit of success and growth.
