SUMMARY:How to Certify Your Enterprise as a Suffolk County MWBE
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1693414068858{background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Presented by Grace Ioannidis\, Executive Director of Multicultural Affairs Suffolk County \nGrace  Ioannidis is the Executive Director of the newly formed Division of Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement (MA&CE) in Suffolk County\, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering inclusivity\, equity\, and community development. In this capacity\, Grace leads efforts to bridge gaps between diverse communities and county government\, ensuring that the voices of all residents\, particularly minorities and women\, are heard and represented. She oversees key initiatives\, including the Suffolk County Language Access Program and the Minority-Women Owned Business Enterprise Certification Process\, both of which are designed to promote equal opportunities and accessibility across the county. \nGrace’s leadership in the Division of Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement extends to spearheading the Suffolk County Task Force to Prevent Family Violence and the Human Trafficking Subcommittee. Her commitment to these roles underscores her dedication to safeguarding vulnerable populations and advancing the county’s efforts in creating a safe and supportive environment for all. \nBefore assuming her role in MA&CE\, Grace served as the Executive Director for the Suffolk County Executive’s Office of Women’s Services\, where she championed the rights and needs of the county’s 758\,682 women. Institutionalized through Article 4 of the Stipulation of Settlement (Index No. 90-25895) of the 1991 Suffolk County Budget and funded by Resolution No. 49-1991\, Grace acted as a critical liaison between Suffolk County’s women and the County Government. With over 25 years of public institutional knowledge\, she identified unique needs and advocated for the development and accessibility of vital services. \nGrace’s remarkable expertise in county administration and policy implementation has led to the creation and execution of several key programs\, including the Suffolk County Language Access initiative. Her dedication and innovative approach have not gone unnoticed; she was honored by the National Association of Counties (NACO) for establishing a data basin that gathers comprehensive information on domestic violence victims in Suffolk County\, enabling informed decisions about resource allocation. \nThrough her leadership in both the Division of Multicultural Affairs & Community Engagement and Women’s Services\, Grace Ioannidis continues to weave a tapestry of support\, empowerment\, and advancement for all residents of Suffolk County. \nPlease Note: The Workshops are being held the morning of the Annual SHOWCASE at the Piermont. You must RSVP separately for each workshop that you would like to attend.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
